DeuxDuel Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DeuxDuel ("the App", "we") collects, why, and your choices. We collect the minimum needed to run a song-voting service and keep your activity pseudonymous.

Information we collect

• Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a private Apple user identifier and, only on first sign-in and only if you allow it, your name. Apple lets you hide your real email; we do not request or store your email.
• Optional birth year. If you provide it, we store only your birth year (not your full date of birth) to show more age-appropriate advertising. This is optional.
• Activity. Your votes, the songs you've been shown, and songs you save. These are linked to a random account ID, not to your identity.
• Diagnostics & usage. Aggregate, non-identifying performance and crash data.

Information we do NOT collect

Precise location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or your email address.

How we use information

To authenticate you, record and rank votes, show your history and music morphology, deliver advertising (free tier), and operate and improve the App.

Advertising and tracking

The free tier shows ads via Google AdMob. On first launch we ask, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether ads may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, you still see ads, just less personalized. DeuxDuel does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Plus subscribers see no ads.

Service providers (data processors)

• Apple MusicKit / Apple Music — song previews and, if you choose, saving to your Apple Music library.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and backend, hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-2).
• Google AdMob — advertising (free tier).
• RevenueCat — subscription receipt validation and entitlement management.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any right, email support@cb-industries.co or use in-app account deletion. Verified requests are handled within 30 days.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your account data until you delete your account, after which we delete or anonymize your personal data. Aggregate, non-identifying ranking data may be retained.

Children

DeuxDuel is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We'll update this page and the "Last updated" date when this policy changes.
